How Does Money Matters collect personal information?

Welcome to Money Matters! We are an online financial literacy education service that provides our Subscribers with access to educational content  through certain internet-connected devices, including, but not limited to, computers, phones and TVs (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”). 

These  TERMS OF USE (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) govern your use of our service. These  Terms constitute a binding contract between you (hereinafter referred to as the “Subscriber” or “You”) and Money Matters, a Canadian sole proprietorship (hereinafter referred to as “Money Matters” ), regarding the the Subscriber’s  use and access to the Services.



The Subscriber agrees that its assent, given electronically, will have the same legal effect as if it had been personally signed by the Subscriber. To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are intended to supersede any provisions of applicable law, which might otherwise limit their enforceability or effect, as a result of being entered into electronically. Please print a copy of these Terms for future reference.



The Services enable  the Subscriber to connect to live or recorded instructions, tutoring sessions and courses. The Services include, without limitation, facilitating and delivering courses and supporting materials.

From time to time,  Money Matters may update these Terms to clarify our practices or to reflect new or different practices, such as when adding new features. Money Matters reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify and/or make changes to these Terms at any time. Should Money Matters make any change, material or otherwise, to these Terms, the Subscriber’s continued use of the service after changes become effective shall deem  the Subscriber’s acceptance of said changes. You should visit the services regularly to ensure you are aware of the latest version of the Terms, as any revised Terms shall supersede all previous Terms.

Money Matters may modify the services or discontinue their availability at any time.

The Subscriber is solely responsible for all service, telephone, data charges and/or other fees and costs associated with access and use of the services. The Subscriber is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all telephone, computer hardware, and other equipment required for any such access and use.

By electing to access or use any services that involve payment of a fee, the Subscriber agrees to pay, and will be responsible for payment of that fee and all taxes associated with such access or use. By providing credit card information to pay for any such fees, the Subscriber represents and warrants that they are authorized to supply such information, and thereby authorize Money Matters to charge said credit card(s) as fees become due, in accordance with the fees outlined on Money Matters’ website.

If payment is unsuccessful or the Subscriber’s account is past due, Money Matters may collect outstanding amounts using other collection mechanisms. This may include charging other available payment methods,  retaining collection agencies and/or retaining legal counsel.  Money Matters reserves the right to block access to any of the Services, pending the resolution of any outstanding or unpaid amounts due by You to Money Matters.

All use, access and other activities relating to the Services must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including, without limitations, laws relating to copyright and other intellectual property use, and to privacy and personal identity. Further, access to our services from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. You agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from Canada or the country in which You reside. You agree to abide by all local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content. The Subscriber accepts that it is solely responsible for abiding by said laws, regulations and rules. Money Matters will not be liable for the Subscriber’s failure to comply with any of said laws, regulations or rules.




The Subscriber shall fully indemnify Money Matters for any and all outstanding amounts and fees owed by the Subscriber to Money Matters, as well as any and all costs that Money Matters, its agents and/or affiliates accumulate in the process of collecting said fees, including, without limitation, legal fees, costs and disbursements.


Should Money Matters, its agents and/or affiliates become involved in litigation and/or alternative dispute resolution processes as a result of the Subscriber’s contravention of the Terms, the Subscriber shall fully indemnify Money Matters, its agents and/or affiliates for any and all costs, fees, expenses and disbursements arising from said litigation and/or dispute resolution processes, as well as any and all damages, penalties and/or awards arising therefrom.




The content presented by Money Matters is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute personalized financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. The Subscriber understands and accepts that it shall not retain said materials for the purpose of copying, distribution and/or any other usage that, in Money Matters’ sole opinion and discretion, is inconsistent with its Services. 




The Subscriber’s use of the services or items obtained through the services is at its own risk. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any statements or warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Neither Money Matters, nor any of its agents or affiliates makes any statement, warranty or representation with respect to the completeness, security, reliability, quality, accuracy or availability of the services. Subject to these Terms, the Subscriber will be granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable and non-sub licensable right to access that portion of Money Matters’ Services, as applicable to its subscription. By agreeing to grant such access, Money Matters does not obligate itself to maintain the website, or to maintain it in its present form. Money Matters may upgrade, modify, change, or enhance the Services and convert a Subscriber to a new version thereof at any time in its sole discretion, to the extent that this is not detrimental to the Subscriber’s use of the Services, and on reasonable prior notice to the Subscriber (unless the change is of critical business importance or outside Money Matters’ control, in which case Money Matters will explain the reason for the changes as soon as is reasonably practicable).


Subscriber agrees to abide by any rules or regulations that Money Matters publishes with respect to conduct of the Subscribers, which rules and regulations are hereby incorporated into these Terms by this reference. Money Matters reserves the right to deny a Subscriber access to theServices and/or terminate its subscription and account if, in Money Matters’ sole discretion, the Subscriber has failed to abide by these Terms or appear likely to do so.


The Subscriber accepts that Money Matters, in its sole discretion, may, but has no obligation to, monitor the Services or any portion thereof, and to oversee compliance with these Terms.


The Subscriber promises, acknowledges and agrees on behalf of itself and any other Subscribers added to its subscription (“Authorized End Users” or “Multi-User Subscriptions”) that

  1. access privileges may not be transferred to any third parties;

  2. it will not access, store, distribute or transmit any Viruses;

  3. it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations with respect to use of the Services;

  4. it will not rent, lease, sublicense, re-sell, distribute, transfer, copy or modify the Services or any component thereof;

  5. it will not translate, decompile, or create or attempt to create, by reverse engineering or otherwise, the source code from the object code made available hereunder;

  6. it will not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store or transmit the Services or any portion thereof;

  7. it will not delete or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights notices from copies of materials from the website or contained in the Services;

  8. it is solely responsible for acquiring, installing, operating and maintaining the hardware and software environment, network connections and telecommunication links, necessary to access and use the Services; and

The failure in any one or more instances of Money Matters to insist upon performance of any of the terms, covenants or conditions of these Terms, to exercise any right or privilege in these Terms conferred, or the waiver by said party of any breach of any of the terms, covenants or conditions of these Terms, shall not be construed as a subsequent waiver of any such terms, covenants, conditions, rights or privileges, but the same shall continue and remain in full force and effect as if no such forbearance or waiver had occurred.




Any part, provision, representation or warranty of these Terms which is prohibited or which is held to be void or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions hereof. Any provisions of these Terms which are prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction shall, as to such jurisdiction, be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions hereof, and any such prohibition or unenforceability in any jurisdiction shall not invalidate or render unenforceable such provision in any other jurisdiction




These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all other prior and contemporaneous agreements, understandings, inducements and/or conditions, express or implied, both written and oral, between Money Matters, its agents and/or affiliates and the Subscriber, with respect to the subject matter hereof. The express terms hereof control and supersede any course of performance and/or usage of the Services inconsistent with any of the terms hereof.




These Terms shall survive the termination of the Subscriber’s subscription and/or dealings with Money Matters, its agents and/or its affiliates.
